Made in Italy and built to order, the Tecnodent Linda Next brings Italian craftsmanship, contemporary design, and advanced positioning technology to the modern dental operatory. This non-integrated electric dental chair features accessible knee-break positioning, nine programmable working positions, independent Trendelenburg movement, and an automatically extending foot section.
The Linda Next is the latest generation of Tecnodent’s original Linda chair, first introduced in 1978. Its compact upright profile makes patient entry easier, while powered movement transforms the chair into a reclined or flat treatment surface. With smooth operation, intuitive foot control, and a symmetrical design for right- or left-handed clinicians, the Linda Next is designed around the way dental professionals work.
Each Linda Next is manufactured in Italy by Tecnodent, a family of dental and medical seating specialists with a history dating back to 1966. Italian craftsmanship is evident throughout the chair, from its clean sculpted lines and molded upholstery to its precision electromechanical movement.
Rather than being pulled from mass-produced inventory, the chair is built to order for the practice. The result is a distinctive Italian dental chair that combines refined styling with the durability and functionality required for daily clinical use.
Unlike a traditional chaise-style dental chair, the Linda Next remains compact and upright for patient entry. The seated entry position can make the chair easier to approach and reduces the need for patients to climb onto a raised, fully extended treatment surface.
As the chair reclines, the backrest and leg section move together while the polyurethane foot section extends automatically. This synchronized movement transitions the Linda Next smoothly from an upright consultation chair to a reclined dental treatment position or flat table position.
With a manufacturer-rated weight capacity of approximately 661 pounds, this Tecnodent chair provides substantially greater support than many powered treatment and procedure chairs available in the United States. Capacities of approximately 450 to 550 pounds are common among comparable professional chairs, making Tecnodent’s higher rating an important advantage for practices seeking equipment that can comfortably accommodate a broader range of patients.
This capacity is especially impressive in a knee-break chair, where the articulating seat and leg sections make high-capacity engineering more challenging than with a conventional flat treatment table. Tecnodent combines flexible seated, reclined, and treatment positioning with the structural strength required for demanding professional use—without resorting to the oversized appearance of many high-capacity tables.

A precision foot-operated joystick gives the dental professional intuitive, hands-free control of the chair. Height, recline, and programmed positions can be adjusted without interrupting clinical workflow or requiring the provider’s hands.
Slow Mode allows small, precise positioning adjustments when finer control is needed. Soft-start and soft-stop technology help the chair begin and end each movement gradually, providing a smoother patient experience.
The wide, wrapping upholstery supports the patient while maintaining a streamlined profile around the treatment area. Complete right-to-left symmetry allows the Linda Next to work in operatories designed for either right- or left-handed clinicians. Because the chair is non-integrated, it can be arranged with the practice’s preferred delivery system, dental light, cabinetry, and supporting equipment.

The Linda Next includes Tecnodent’s LIGHT multi-articulated headrest, designed to position the patient’s head along three axes. Its multi-directional adjustment allows the clinician to adjust the headrest height, angle, and orientation for more precise support during dental examinations and procedures.
For dental positioning, this added range of movement helps the provider align the patient’s head with the working area rather than relying solely on the chair’s backrest position. The headrest can be adjusted to improve access to the upper or lower arch, support different head and neck positions, and accommodate a wider range of patient heights and body types.
The LIGHT headrest is especially useful when repositioning the patient for examinations, restorative work, cosmetic dentistry, hygiene appointments, digital imaging, and other procedures that require clear access from different clinical angles. More precise head positioning can also help the dentist and assistant maintain a comfortable working posture while reducing the need to repeatedly reposition the entire chair.

The Linda Next includes rotating armrests on both sides of the chair to provide additional support as patients enter, exit, and reposition during appointments. Each armrest pivots outward to create unobstructed access when needed, then returns easily to provide comfortable arm support throughout treatment.
Combined with the chair's ergonomic knee-break design, the rotating armrests help improve patient accessibility while giving clinicians additional flexibility when positioning patients for examinations and procedures.

Tecnodent memory foam upholstery uses viscoelastic polyurethane that responds to body heat and gradually conforms to the patient’s shape. This helps distribute pressure more evenly across the seating surface while providing supportive cushioning for the back throughout longer appointments. Tecnodent incorporates the memory foam into a seamless molded upholstery design, combining enhanced patient comfort with a smooth surface that is easy to clean between procedures.
The Linda Next provides three operator profiles, each with three programmable positions. Up to three clinicians can save their preferred settings and recall them without repeatedly repositioning the chair between appointments.
Built-in programs include:
The Linda Next uses low-voltage 24V DC linear actuators for powered lifting, lowering, backrest adjustment, and positioning. Advanced molded construction provides a strong supporting structure while preserving the chair’s clean, contemporary Italian appearance.
The chair has a maximum combined lifting capability of 661 lbs. This rating includes the patient and any equipment connected to the chair and should not be interpreted as a 661 lb. patient-only weight capacity.
The Linda Next complies with the essential safety requirements of the European Medical Device Regulation MDR 2017/745 and is FDA-listed for sale in the United States. The chair is also designed and preset for UL certification.
Integrated safety stops are located at the backrest, leg section, and controls to help protect the chair and surrounding equipment during powered movement.
The Tecnodent Linda Next is designed for professional dental environments and may be used for general dentistry, dental examinations, hygiene appointments, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, digital dentistry, consultations, imaging, whitening services, and other procedures performed with appropriate clinical equipment.
