Custom-made in Italy, the Tecnodent Linda Next is an advanced electric medical treatment chair designed for examinations, consultations, imaging, and professional office-based procedures. Its knee-break configuration allows the patient to sit while the chair is upright, before powered positioning transitions it into a reclined or flat working position.
The Linda Next offers three provider profiles with three programmable positions each, independent Trendelenburg movement, an automatically extending foot section, Slow Mode positioning, and hands-free joystick control. Seamless memory foam upholstery, a LIGHT multi-articulated headrest, and rotating armrests on both sides complete its premium clinical configuration.
The Linda Next combines the versatility of an electric medical examination chair with distinctive Italian styling. Its extensive positioning range enables efficient transitions between seated consultations, reclined examinations, imaging, and services requiring a flat patient surface.
The clean architectural design is well-suited to private medical offices, dermatology practices, plastic surgery offices, podiatry clinics, medical aesthetic facilities, and multipurpose examination rooms where function and appearance are equally important.
Each Linda Next is manufactured in Italy after the order is placed. Tecnodent combines precision electromechanical engineering, molded polyurethane expertise, and carefully finished components to create a chair intended for dependable professional use.
The sculpted base, coordinated upholstery, and streamlined patient surface give the Linda Next a more refined appearance than a conventional examination table while preserving the adjustability required in a modern medical treatment room.
With a manufacturer-rated weight capacity of approximately 661 pounds, this Tecnodent chair provides substantially greater support than many powered treatment and procedure chairs available in the United States. Capacities of approximately 450 to 550 pounds are common among comparable professional chairs, making Tecnodent’s higher rating an important advantage for practices seeking equipment that can comfortably accommodate a broader range of patients.
This capacity is especially impressive in a knee-break chair, where the articulating seat and leg sections make high-capacity engineering more difficult to achieve than with a conventional flat treatment table. Tecnodent combines flexible seated, reclined, and treatment positioning with the structural strength required for demanding professional use—without resorting to the oversized appearance of many high-capacity tables.
The Linda Next begins in a compact, chair-like position, allowing the patient to approach and sit before powered positioning begins. This upright entry format reduces the need to climb onto an elevated, fully extended examination surface.
Rotating armrests provide support during entry and exit and can pivot outward when open access to either side of the chair is preferred.
As the backrest reclines, the leg section moves in tandem, while the polyurethane foot section extends automatically. This synchronized movement lengthens the patient surface and maintains continuous support as the chair transitions from upright seating to a reclined or flat position.
The automatically extending foot section also allows the chair to accommodate different patient heights without requiring a separate manual adjustment.
The backrest moves through a range of 0 to 90 degrees, allowing the Linda Next to transition from upright seating to a flat working surface. Independent powered Trendelenburg movement provides an adjustment range of up to 21.5 degrees.
These positioning capabilities provide qualified facilities with additional flexibility in establishing an appropriate working angle for an examination or service, subject to professional protocols and the selected chair configuration.
The Linda Next provides three provider profiles, each with three programmable positions. Up to three professionals can save and recall their preferred chair settings without having to recreate each adjustment throughout the day.
Built-in positioning programs include:

A foot-operated joystick provides convenient control of chair height, recline, and programmed positions. Providers can reposition the chair without locating a wired handset or holding it during the adjustment.
An optional infrared remote control can also be added for operation from different locations around the treatment room.
Slow Mode allows the provider to make small, controlled adjustments when more precise positioning is desired. This can be useful when aligning the patient with an examination light, imaging system, magnification equipment, or a particular working area.
Soft-start and soft-stop technology allows each powered movement to begin and end gradually.
The Linda Next uses low-voltage 24V DC linear actuators for powered lifting, lowering, backrest adjustment, Trendelenburg movement, and programmed positioning. Its electromechanical system is designed to provide controlled movement throughout the chair’s adjustment range.
With a lifting speed of approximately 0.87 inches per second, the chair can be repositioned efficiently while retaining smooth operation.
The Linda Next is designed to provide open access from either side of the chair, allowing providers to select a comfortable working position for different examinations and services. Its symmetrical construction works equally well in right- or left-oriented treatment rooms.
As a standalone treatment chair, it can be positioned alongside the practice’s preferred examination light, imaging equipment, instrument cart, operator stool, and other supporting equipment.

Tecnodent’s LIGHT headrest positions the patient’s head along three axes. The provider can adjust its height, angle, and orientation independently of the main backrest, providing more precise head and neck support during upright, reclined, or flat positioning.
This multi-directional adjustment helps align the patient with the working area while reducing the need to reposition the entire chair. It can also provide useful flexibility during examinations, photography, imaging, and services requiring access from different clinical angles.

Rotating armrests on both sides provide additional support as patients enter, exit, and reposition in the chair. Each armrest pivots outward when open side access is needed and returns easily to provide comfortable arm support during consultations, examinations, and treatments.

Tecnodent uses viscoelastic polyurethane memory foam that responds to body heat and gradually conforms to the patient’s shape, helping distribute pressure more evenly for greater comfort during longer appointments.
The foam is integrated into seamless molded upholstery, combining supportive cushioning with a smooth, easy-to-clean surface suited to professional medical environments.
The Linda Next has a maximum combined lifting capability of 661 lbs. (300 kg). This rating includes both the patient and any equipment connected to the chair.
The 661 lb. specification should not be interpreted or advertised as a 661 lb. patient-only weight capacity.
The Linda Next is FDA-listed for sale in the United States and complies with the applicable requirements of the European Medical Device Regulation MDR 2017/745.
Integrated safety stops are located at the backrest, leg section, and controls to help protect the chair, patient, and nearby equipment during powered movement.
The Tecnodent Linda Next is suitable for professional environments that benefit from upright entry, powered height adjustment, precise head positioning, and the ability to transition to a fully reclined or flat patient surface. Potential settings include:
Suitability for a particular examination or procedure should be determined by the facility based on the selected configuration, required accessories, professional protocol, and applicable regulations.
