Tecnodent Linda Evo Italian Electric Dental Chair
Made in Italy, the Tecnodent Linda Evo combines contemporary Italian design with compact knee-break positioning for modern dental practices. This non-integrated electric dental chair provides accessible seated entry, three programmable working positions, synchronized backrest and legrest movement, and a double-articulated Vale headrest.
The Linda Evo is the latest evolution of Tecnodent’s longstanding Linda 3 platform. It preserves the clean lines, compact footprint, and convenient patient access of the original design while adding updated low-voltage movement technology, soft-start and soft-stop operation, and an enveloping anatomical backrest.

Italian Design and Craftsmanship
Tecnodent has designed and manufactured professional dental and medical seating in Italy since 1966. The Linda Evo reflects this heritage through its sculpted structure, coordinated split-section upholstery, refined detailing, and precision electromechanical movement.
Its distinctive Italian styling gives the chair a more finished architectural appearance than a conventional utilitarian dental chair, making it particularly well suited to practices that want clinical functionality without sacrificing treatment-room design.
Accessible Knee-Break Dental Chair Design
The Linda Evo remains compact and upright for patient entry. Rather than asking the patient to climb onto an elevated, fully extended treatment surface, the chair allows the patient to approach and sit in a familiar seated position before powered movement begins.
As the backrest reclines, its movement is synchronized with the legrest's extension. The chair gradually transitions from an upright consultation position to a reclined dental treatment position while maintaining support through the seat, back, and lower-leg sections.
This design can be particularly helpful in practices serving children, older adults, and patients who may find a conventional treatment table more difficult to access.
Compact Design for the Modern Operatory
With an overall length of approximately 68.9 inches, the Linda Evo offers a more compact profile than the larger Linda Next. Its knee-break format reduces the amount of space occupied when the chair is upright, helping preserve room around cabinetry, delivery equipment, stools, and mobile clinical carts.
Because it is a non-integrated dental chair, the Linda Evo can be arranged with the practice’s preferred delivery system, dental light, imaging equipment, cabinetry, and supporting instruments.
Three Programmable Working Positions
Three customized dental working positions can be stored for frequently used chair settings. This allows the clinician to recall preferred examination or treatment positions without manually recreating each adjustment throughout the day.
The Linda Evo also includes automatic programs that simplify common patient transitions:
- Zero position: Returns the chair to its lowered patient-entry position
- Rinse position: Moves the patient into a more upright position
- Last-position return: Returns the chair to the previous working position after the rinse cycle
Smooth Electric Positioning
The Linda Evo uses low-voltage 24V DC linear actuators for powered chair movement. Soft-start and soft-stop technology help each adjustment begin and end gradually rather than moving abruptly.
Hall-sensor limit switches support controlled travel throughout the chair’s movement range. Height and backrest positioning are adjusted via a joystick on the chair base, allowing the clinician to operate the chair without a handheld control.
Designed for Dental Access
The high, enveloping backrest supports the patient without creating an unnecessarily bulky profile around the treatment area. Complete symmetry allows the chair to be used in operatories arranged for right- or left-handed dentists and hygienists.
The standard double-articulated Vale headrest features an enveloping cushion and adjustable articulation to help position the patient’s head during examinations and dental procedures.
Safety and U.S. Market Compliance
According to Tecnodent, the Linda Evo is FDA approved for sale in the United States and complies with the essential safety requirements of the European Medical Device Regulation MDR 2017/745. It is also designed and preset for UL certification.
The Linda Evo should not be described as UL Listed unless UL certification is separately confirmed for the final chair configuration. Safety stops are incorporated at the backrest and lifting arm to help protect the patient, chair, and surrounding equipment during powered movement.

The Pluto features a sculpted saddle seat, high-density memory foam, adjustable height and seat tilt, an independently adjustable backrest, and a smooth five-caster base.
