Tecnodent Linda Next Electric Knee-Break Treatment Chair
The Tecnodent Linda Next is an electric knee-break treatment chair designed for dental and medical environments. Its standard configuration combines synchronized backrest and leg movement, an automatic, extendable foot section, independent Trendelenburg positioning, nine programmable working positions, Slow Mode, and a maximum combined lifting capacity of 661 lbs.
Linda Next is the contemporary evolution of Tecnodent’s original Linda chair platform, first introduced in 1978. It retains the compact profile, seated accessibility, and straightforward operation associated with Tecnodent’s knee-break design while adding modern positioning programs, molded construction, and a high-capacity lifting system.
Accessible Knee-Break Design
The knee-break format allows the chair to remain compact and upright for patient entry, consultations, and examinations. As the chair moves into a reclined treatment position, the backrest and leg section move in synchronization, and the polyurethane foot section extends automatically to provide additional lower-leg support.
This movement pattern allows the Linda Next to transition between an upright chair, reclined treatment position, and flat table position without requiring the patient to climb onto a conventional fixed treatment table.
Nine Programmable Positions and Automatic Programs
Three operator profiles are provided, each with three programmable working positions. This provides up to 9 stored treatment positions for different providers or procedure types.
Built-in positioning programs include table, Trendelenburg, rinse, last, and zero positions. Independent Trendelenburg movement provides additional positioning flexibility, while the rinse and last-position functions help return the chair to the prior working position after an upright patient transition.
Slow Mode supports small, controlled position changes when more precise movement is needed. The integrated foot-operated joystick allows the chair to be adjusted without occupying the provider’s hands.
High-Capacity Construction
The Linda Next uses 24V DC linear actuators with soft-start and soft-stop movement. Reaction Injection Molding, or RIM, is used in its construction to combine structural strength, flexibility, and clean contemporary lines.
Wide, wrapping molded upholstery supports the patient while maintaining a relatively slim overall profile. Safety stops are incorporated at the backrest, leg section, and controls, and the chair’s symmetrical layout supports both right- and left-handed clinical workflows.
